Choose your setting

Private vs. Community Acupuncture

Both options offer skilled acupuncture care. Choose the environment and level of individual attention that best fit you.

Private Acupuncture

Your own room. Your own pace.

A one-on-one session with a full history, individualized treatment plan, and focused attention.

Best for: first visits, complex or long-standing concerns, and clients who prefer privacy.

Community Acupuncture

Healing in good company.

Receive treatment in a calm shared setting at a more accessible price, making regular care easier to maintain.

Best for: maintenance, stress support, and clients who enjoy a shared healing space.

Why consistency matters

Why Multiple Sessions?

Acupuncture care is cumulative. One session may help you relax or create an initial shift, while a consistent series gives your body repeated opportunities to respond and helps Sigma adjust treatment as your needs change.

Build Momentum

Regular visits reinforce the changes begun in earlier sessions.

Adjust as You Improve

Your plan evolves based on what is changing and what still needs support.

Create Lasting Patterns

Ongoing care can help move from short-term relief toward steadier wellness.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does acupuncture hurt?

Most people feel little to no discomfort. Acupuncture needles are very thin, and many clients become deeply relaxed.

What does cupping feel like?

Most people feel a gentle pulling sensation and warmth as the cups are applied. It’s generally relaxing, not painful. You may feel some tightness while the cups are in place, and the area may feel lighter and looser afterward. The circular marks that appear are normal and usually fade within 3 to 7 days.

How long do the cupping marks last?

Cupping marks typically last 3 to 7 days. They are not bruises in the traditional sense. The temporary discoloration reflects the body’s response to suction in the area. The marks may change color as they fade.

Can I do cupping without acupuncture?

Yes. Standalone cupping sessions are available as a 60-minute whole-body treatment or a 35-minute targeted session for upper or lower body. Many clients use cupping on its own for muscle tension, recovery, or relaxation between acupuncture visits.

How long is a session?

The first visit includes a fuller history and treatment. Follow-up visits are typically shorter; confirm the exact appointment length when booking.

How many sessions will I need?

Your recommendation depends on your goals, how long the concern has been present, and how your body responds.

How should I prepare?

Eat a light meal, wear comfortable clothing, and bring a list of medications, supplements, and questions.

Do you accept insurance?

Whole Body Wellness is private pay. A superbill may be available for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
